Project Updated

Something difficult about this project is that I had a separate emotion as the group so I had to make up all of my own parts. While that was the most difficult part I would have to say the easiest part was that sense I was by myself, I didn't have to be synchronized with the group, nor did I have to change any of my ideas to match my peers. Something that was interesting was when we did the thing where we cross when we walk to our positions right before it turns upbeat. This is interesting because it makes the piece more complex. During the beginning of our project the 3 happy people ended off in front of me. When doing the critiques, people said that they couldn't see me and that they always wanted the spotlight to be on me. At the final presentation we made them do more broad happier movements behind me instead of infront of me. The group dynamic was really good. Since I had my own part, I was able to do my own ideas, and the other three took what I did and bounced their ideas off of that. Usually doing the opposite of what I was doing. They also worked really well together because they all pitched in at the end. My group was able to share leadership very well. Usually what happened was that Niamh or I would think of something that we could possibly do, then Toby and Laughlin would add onto our idea and make it their own. My group used the principles of improv into our creation by not taking anything out of, or shutting any ideas out. It was a different version, of "yes, and...". This helped our piece flow better as well, along with take up more time to get into the better part of the song. Our song was slow at the beginning, and sped up as it went on. The four of us tried to keep adding more and more "sad" parts to the beginning that way when we got to the fast part, we were on the more broad, happy movements. Something that I contributed to the group was to the group was the, " I need you" part. This was where I reached out my hand, longing for a friend. Something that didn't work was when I walked away from the others, and started walking in circles. This didn't work because I feel like the audience couldn't really tell what was going on during this scene. Something that worked was the end. When I was all by myself it really made the whole outcast title come to view.
